6 best spring break holiday destinations in Europe

Spring break give us a perfect opportunity to visit popular places which are overcrowded during the holiday season. Also the weather is more favorable for sightseeing at the time - not too hot, not too cold - just fine. Read our compilation of 6 best spring break holiday destinations in Europe.

1. Paris

Some say it’s never a bad time to visit Paris. Capital of France is still leading as most visited city in Europe. Not for nothing! Its charm will never bore us, especially in spring when everything is flourishing. Wandering hand to hand with love of your life in full of colourful flowers main parks such as Tuileries or Luxembourg, walking along the Seine with bunch of macarons in a pocket or sipping a coffee outside the cafe in Montmartre - these all things will make your trip to Paris an unforgettable experience this spring break.

2. Seville

This gem of Spain is famous for flamenco, tapas bars and orange trees. If you visit it on spring, you’ll be able to take part of its well-known Feria (spring fair) which takes place 2nd-7th May this year. This is a week of serious dancing, drinking, eating and socialising, that ends up usually in the morning. There are also daily bullfights considered the best of the season. Temperature in Seville rarely drops below 16 degrees of Celsius (it can reach even 30 degrees in May!) so it sounds like the perfect idea for warm-blooded sunshine seekers.

3. Berlin

Berlin is becoming one of the most stimulating creative and cultural centres in Europe - one that offers something for everyone. Even if you are dancing queen/king capitol of Germany will tire you out with its wide range of pubs and nightclubs. Parties on Oranienburgerstrasse, street most known for its nightlife, can last for days rather than hours! But if you travel with children - don’t worry, Berlin has also many other opportunities for families - you can go to Tiergarten which is one of the best ZOOs in Europe or manage a one-day trip to Tropical Islands - water park located ca. 70km from Berlin.

4. Lodz

As we are in Central Europe let’s take a look on the third biggest city in Poland. This still underrated city grown up on four different cultures (Jewish, German, Polish and Russian) and is full of marvelous palaces and factories of cotton magnates from 19th century. Nowadays Lodz is well known for its street art, abundant nightlife (don’t forget to visit Off Piotrkowska by night!) and unique architecture.

5. Ljubljana

While it’s not the first thing on your mind when thinking of spring break it’s a perfect idea if you plan to experience new things. Ljubljana will remind you of Paris because of its open-air cafes, Venice because of romantic canals and Vienna because of baroque architecture. All marvellous cities in one. It’s an amazing clash of cultures which tempts us to explore more of it. And except that, this is the least expensive city from this rank.

6. Lake Como

Most known for its appearance in Attack of the Clones in 2002 is an amazing choice for those who don’t want to choose whether go to the sea or the mountains. It’s also an excellent choice for cheese and wine junkies. Lombardy is a land of most known italian cheeses such as Provolone, Grana Padano, Gorgonzola, Parmigiano Reggiano and Taleggio. But it’s not only food you can reach for in Lake Como. This area has also picturesque views, great weather, hiking availability and, of course, you can swim in the lake which is even better than swimming in the ocean, because it’s not salty ;)
